Instagram is the reason i love photography. Makes me productive every day. I'm very thankful to iPhone. Very thankful also to technology nowadays. Keeping us easier and easier to do anything. But please dont be a lazy head or like retarded because of that?!

As i seen in my friends or people's feed, now, everyone can be a photographer!!

I feel like i don't need fancy camera or even professional camera. Already satisfied with this gadget, which provides instagram and all apps.

Being at home, are fun! ahaha

my mom also happy because i can help her anytime in here. But i have to do something. Like baking a cake was a good idea for me. I borrowed her oven and ready to bake!!

Choco-cheese cupcake,i add oatmeal too in it ingredients. This one i used stove to steam. No oven at all. Glad that it pops up nicely!

Alhamdulillah.... Thanks God my hands are quiet good at make friends with clay or any material that can be molded manualy. As you can see also in my exhibition post, i did ears ceramic hand modeling.

Another neat material such as playdoh and jumping clay are my next hobby at home. To fulfilled my instagram account, i could do the unimportant thing to be important (for myself). :D

I am enjoying my freelance job that i've been doing for like 1months at Jakflo (you can click the name to see the info about). Where i can teach and share crafts and arts to everyone. I had some project too from there, for example my giant globe for Bank Mandiri, that was in my post before this.

And these are photos about some classes, i did them happily!!

Cake Decoration Class.

This one actually my friend's class. But i've made them after the class done. Because we have one cake lefts! Our chances to eat them with anydecorates as we wish.

Last December 2011, We had the demonstration for the Chirstmas event in Mall Ciputra ,Jakarta. There were open space at lower ground floor. For the customer who shop Rp.100.000,- can show the receipt and take the workshop directly. To learn how to decorates ginger cookies with icing sugar.

Jumping Clay Class

i taught Asia (5years old) .

Two session. In first session, i teach her how to mold the jumping clay with hand. About basic shape until making an object, we did ballet shoes and cupcakes. Then teach how to mixed the color until make them into a shape. We did an apple and flower. I dont want to waste them to be a toy. That's why i put them on a pin and hair clip.

Giant Globe for Bank Mandiri Events

Can't sleep tonight after christmas dinner with my family. I drink hazelnut decaf coffee when we had dessert. Thanks God was red velvet cake ,soo yummy! suit much with the bitter coffee. Actually we are muslim familly. But, just to have fun celebrate the 25th December night. We had christmas tree with presents at the bottom. Gathered them to exchange each other. i got nice shirt, yellow tanktop with shinny diamonds and channel 5 colors eyeshadow make up.

Okay, for making me sleepy, now i want to share about my recent project. I got it from my workplace. My director asked me , could i make some giant globe. She said it's for Bank Mandiri event that should be big to hug. So every people can take photo with the globe. I said , sure! i want to make it :)
And the deal begin with "no styrofoam please!" . yes, absolutely i was glad, because i dont want to use that material too. I choose bamboo as the framework. Then, a newspapers as a wrapping and for the textured geographic map.
here's the photo when it finished :

the process after i wrapped it all with the newspapers, i used wallpaint for the colouring.

and it's done! needs two days to finished. I did from 9am until 5am by the next day after.
Of course with rest and watch tv ahaha :D
Happy i did that by my own hand. Except the bamboo framework, i asked my artisan.

My friend gonna marry hehe..His name is Damar Restio. He asked me to make a caricature of him and his fiance. Directly i choose digital way. Using photoshop and corel draw, are easier way to do fast. Actually it's been a long time ago. Like for about in July he asked me. I've been busy ;p then i finished it in December. And gave him on 12th. He will be marry on 24th Dec 2011. Such a cute couple. I love em , like my lil brother and lil sis!

Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011

HEY !! long time not update my blog, while i had some great activities to share.

I joined the Munny World Festival Indonesia 2011 again, the date was in December 9th to 11th.

This was my second participation. If the first one was only a tinny puppets of "trikky" which is 4inch. Then now we have to modification the bigger Munny. It was about 7inch tall.

My concept is about a women. She represents of me. And i give her a pattern of zebra. Because i love zebra, and i mixed with my last ear ceramics exhibition as her background setting. Her name is Inifa. Which is reverse of my name. I let her chest and stomach open as i know she's fragile but still wanted to be brave colected ears , because women loved to hear and to be hear. Well ignore the concept.. and let your perception flow when you see her, then .

Ceramic Workshop before Exhibition 6th-12th Oct,11

Mirjam Veldhuis , the ceramic artist from Holand. She is our mentor in the workshop. The concept is about "Skin Matters". She told us to used some pattern, look a like a flower with many petals as a brain storming method. That is , in my opinion, really works well! :)

My sketch of the brain-storming idea. On the center we wrote skin, and next petal we wrote anything random which still conected with skin. And every next word have related with the word before and so on, but randomly. Then the word on last petals will be far away from Skin Matters. That i choose TV. How come Skin related to TV?? hehe, now that is the challenge.

Many idea growth in my brain. But after i wrote it, i choosed to make a wallpaper as an identic thing with TV. Well, usually we watch TV in the Living room. And Living Room in nowadays or even in old time, use wallpaper as the wall decoration in house, replace the paint.

And wall..somehow, we called a witness that can hear what we do in the room. They can not see or speak. I interpretationed it with ears popping out from the wall through the wallpaper.

Anykinds of ear, because i dont know, whats in there.. but i know they really wants to hear us.

I have concept and i have story for the tittle of my work in this exhibition. As i told you before, my concept comes from the tittle of the workshop,"Skin Matters" by Mirjam Veldhuis, ceramic artist.

I choose wallpaper as the skin. That cover the wall. In my perception, wall is the silent witness that only can hear. That's why , they wanted to hear what we do, untill their ear pops up from the wallpaper.

Then i made the display not only simple display, but i want it to have a story. I set them as a living room from my TV idea in the recent brain storming. As i see my ceramics are many. Some I've made it welldone, some i made it crack, or torn on some part.

So, my story of the display is about competition of applying wallpaper in the room. There are two room. One still messy i called it "Un-fini-shed Room" . Another one is already tidy and clean i called it "Fini-shed Room".

yiippy!! an Exhibition again..

as i wish i want to have them at least once a year..

I am glad those goodluck came to me after my birthday. Here's the story..

After I left Bali, i wanted to make my decision of being an artist (i hope this will last forever ;P) or being a good furniture/product designer; REAL.

Then, i went to Bandung on my birthday, September 10th , 2011. I wanted to refresh my self , hang around with my closest friends. Being in Bandung feels like hometown too for me. I have studied here for 5years in Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).

My friend ask me to join some workshop. I was surprised that is Ceramic, things that i haven't touched before. And again, I will say YES! for learn new things !!

I've got more exited , because the artwork of that workshop will be exhibit, after.

Learning Water Colour

Oh wow! it's been a long time i didn't update my blog. I had some holiday trip to Japan, Singapore and Bali. And the last one was the place that i had some trial work as a Life Style product designer.

Yes, i had worked only 3months in Bali, ehehheehe.. not because i am lazy. it's just I can't push my self for something that not in my passion. Actually I intended to be a Silver Jewelry designer , i want to learn new things besides furniture or else in Product Design.

Thats why i dont mind at all to leave my hometown for the famous international silver jewelry company, John Hardy. Which I can have a great opportunity for my portfolio. But as they know my major is Product Designer, they want me to be the product designer for home decoration, office merchandiser, and some request project; they called it LifeStyle and Home Department.

Still I did my best for the position, i am happy to work there too. Even i miss for a colourfull images of free design like i did for PT. Toimoi Indonesia before (I feel that i am fit in to that images). Day by day goes, evidently, i still think to get back to my hometown if i cant get the Jewelry Designer position in the company. I want to choose another option of my career destination for art and continue my furniture passion.

So.. to be honest for myself and company, i didn't continue the trial. But i am glad that the boss understand my descission and all the worker are very kind to me, since beginning until the end. On my last day in Bali, they've gave me great prepared farewell party. I really hope i can stop by to the office when i visit Bali again someday.

It was not any regret, all of the jobdesk was fun and i did learned how to rendering with watercolour , and here they are..

Charity Exhibition for Bali Dogs

I join the Naka Charity Exhibition for Bali Dogs. And here i coppied the further info about the exhibition:

Bali has many street dogs that are often subjected to the most horrendous cruelty. Some animal rescue organizations: BAWA, BARC and Yudistira Swarga have been struggling to accommodate them all.

Oh, for DOG's Sake! is a charity art exhibition organized by Naka Contemporary Art to help raise money for street dogs in Bali.

We bring together diverse range of artists, local and international, to experiment unlimitedly with every possible interpretation of their love of the dogs in any kind of media they feel drawn to.

Support this great cause and get a chance to help our four-legged friends and meet some of the most exciting artists in town!

Books & Sketches Theme, for Window Display

Hello there, it is begining of Chinese New Year season. The rabbit shio's year. My Boss want us to mixed the shio as the icon and the books for the monthly sales of our store. Me and My Visual Merchandiser team (we are 6people) decided to make our Window Display and Gallery in Alun Alun Indonesia, Grand Indonesia 3rd floor , West Mall with sketches image. All the property for display using triplex wood , painted white and illustrated with handmade sketches.

We still use the red color for the Chinese New Year identicaly image. ;) So I let the wall and the floor to be red. The Chinese Lamp will adds 1 week before the date.

So, this is my work. I name it Anna and Rabbits. I took a setting outside of Book Store ("TOKO BUKU"). So the girl named Anna , who is a teenage girl who loves to read a book. She always visit her favorite book store to feed her brain with many books of Indonesian culture and history to remember.

Medium Window Display for Xmas 2010

I painted Red and gave the silver touch as an idea for 2010 Christmas in Alun Alun Indonesia. We (visual merchandiser team ) briefed to made the Indonesian Ethnic Christmas theme.

The Star shapes were inspired by pattern of Songket, the traditional textile craft work.

The stars are made from MDF wood and for the other silver atributes made from styrofoam. I cut by myself to made that beautiful shape ;p

i won't forget the Christmas also identic with candles and balls of any material for the pine tree

As i walked at my work place, Grand Indonesia view weeks ago.

I visited the stores of Level One Project, East Mall .

I saw Plastic Culture, some store that attracted my eyes to see plastic and vinyl toys.

(I always adores toys) I am soo excited when they said they will hold an Event Competition called

"MUNNY WORLD FESTIVAL INDONESIA" (MWFI).

It also have the schedules of these events, if you click the blue line.For costumized the

"Munny World" toys they are : Trikky, Bub, Rooz, Raffy .

I bought Trikky.

Sure, i immediately filled the form of the competition. So, I became one of the contestant.

This competition is divided into several categories. I choosed the costumized accesories categories. They will announced the winners on Sunday, September , 26th, 2010.

And i will attend , i hope i can win the prize ;p But, if I won't, At least i can have my handcrafts exhibitions again.

She is strong sharp and beauty. She was a good girl but since she have some ambitions to get what she wants, She became bad for survive.

Actually she is a cat, but she wants to go arround the world. So she try swim as mermaid, that can accross the universe widely.

Her hands use boxing gloves. And holds sharp weapons. To fight.

Her head got nails cause she has a rebel mind. But still beauty with her blinks hair piece.

I bought "Trikky". The one that shape like Cat.

As u can see she still plain and white.

Just wait and see, how can i apply all my accessories that i have.

I recycle plastic bowl, cover it with green sponge and sprinks it with sands.

In this year, we have agreed that we will use blue and white for the colour and the images.
There are bazaar too in our Gallery, but i didn't took the picture of it. Cause, there are many. hehe ;p and i only want to share my design in decorating the Alun Alun Indonesia store.

i have my jobdesk in small Window Display, we called Second Window Display , "Beringin".
i love the spot. Because of the dimension not too big, so i can finished my decorates quickly then others.

Festival Topeng Nusantara

Festival Topeng Nusantara is the exhibition of "Panji" mask. The "Panji" mask is from Cirebon, Indonesia. This exhibition have the aim for every people in Indonesia or International visitor to knowing about the soul and the history of this mask.

Also the creatives people and artists of Jakarta,Bandung, and Surabaya city participates as the mediator for attract many visitor to attend the event that held in Alun Alun Indonesia store, at 3rd floor West Mall of Grand Indonesia Shopping Town Mall. They customized the mask with their images of proffesion. So "Panji" mask not plain anymore but, colourfull, stylish, or event religious.

Me, as the visual mechandiser of Alun alun Indonesia, helped the preparation of these events. And i found my oppurtunity to participate as the artist to customized these mask. and here some of the photos. ;)

I made the show case by myself. It is from acrylic wrapped with blue Chiffon fabric.The tree pillow is my masterpiece design when i worked at "toimoi ar+ design gallery " before. I used bottle as the trunk of the tree, i sew the corduroy fabric for wrapped it.
I have 5 hours to finished my art work. i got not enough sleep but i feel happy to be the exhibitor of the event.

the "Sheep" , "Babirusa", and "Owl" are my handcraft made. The wools is from giveaway present. (*click the "giveaway" if u want to see)
,, hehe, i won the prize. i promised to Tarlen that i want to makes some clothes with wool detail, but i haven't already yet. So i think this is the time to applied the wools to my art work. Thank you Tarlen ,, ;)

And,, i just got the mask in the Exhibition day. I got panic and hurried. Only 1 hour to before the Oppening time.

my usual forehead, and i love purple(eye lashes and hair piece). My eyes are one closed and one peeking. But, there is tiny eyes on my forehead.. It means that, even i am sleeping or close my eyes. i still see my dream, see my future and see you.

Me and my mural project.
It was on 31st July and 1st August 2010, that i had have done my mural project.
Actually these is my friend's design but she's a little worried to applied her ilustration to wall. Because of she never doing it before.
She asked me to help her to paint the wall. Well, i hope i am, known as the mural artist in my friends sorroundings ;p . I am glad she contacts me. Because i love to do the mural painting.
Fortunately, the owner of these house are happy to see my works. And i just noticed that she (the owner of the house) is the doughter of Adri Subono- Java Music Indo's Man.
* Java Music Indo is the one of popular artists management and also promo tour of lots international band that usualy made a live concert in Jakarta.

After a year, i want to increase my sallary, so i went to company that have a relation with art, design, and store. Like my job before.
The procedure to enter that company was interview and do a display test...
just sent the sketch, display the teens area. Thanks God, (Alhamdulillah) i got the job in PT. Alun Alun Indonesia Kreasi as visual merchandiser. =)

composition of the lamp shade, has different pattern so it looks like a patchwork

I used the embroidery accent for the patchwork, it gives a vintage style images

The exhibition was also the colaboration between Motorcycle Customizer and Toimoi product designer. We make the ambiance for the owner of Honda 50 (Honda Cub), by themes. I took the Racer theme for my product design. So, it must be the coat, capuchon to protect ear from wind, and mask. I've made carpets too, for the collection.

Bird Nest Chair

It was in 2005 i have my internship in Toimoi ar+design gallery ,Kemang-Jakarta.
I dont really know about this popular graphic designer , his name is Stefan Sagmeister. He went to Jakarta for the FDGI (Indonesian Graphic Design Forum, in Jakarta Hilton Convention Centre (JHCC), Senayan-Jakarta). As the resource adviser.

He kinda friendly, I have had chit chat with him. And letting him sit down on my product design,the bird nest chair. He love my chair and said it was ergonomic. I ask my friend, about his portfolio in graphic design. And he's awesome!!

Almost of his work is about types. He write some sentences on his body, face, or any media.
but the hierarchy's looks fine and cool!

The Sunny Day Lay carpet is suitable for eco product campaign. We can fill the rounded trees as the cushion with our used cloth, pants, or skirt. So its save the cotton/dacron and environments.

Felt fabrics are easy to sew. We can make them to any kind of shapes.
Animal, human, and monster are my inspiration. Sometimes i gave my handcraft to friends, or i put it in store. At last, they're sold too. =)

Mural Project. My special target for mural is kids room. Cause they fun and colourfull. The first project,was when i'm in Collage. i paint the kindergarten class in Kota Wisata, Cibubur. I got
600.000 rupiahs. But actually it was 1,2 million rupiahs. But i shared it with my mural partner.

Then the second project is for HighScope kindergarten in Rasuna Appartmen, Kuningan, Jakarta. Sure i got the highest fee!
As you can see ,the last picture is my third project. I 'm with my interior designer pal, she do all the 3d design until the furnitures done and i help her for painting the wall in kids room.

In toimoi ar+design Gallery i also do painting. Oneday,some of customer wants to have a toys basket for her child. Made from synthetic rattan. And i help the design by doing the painting on woods. We can choose the toys cathegory from animal on those basket.

hehehee...
i look around my house after new years eve. i saw my mom clean up our kitchen , and she said "i love this card so much". and i realized,, hey.. it was my handycraft card which i gave to my mom in 2004. it was really in a rush when i made it. But i found my self was a creative girl, hehe.,like only for 20 minutes, i've made that cute cards. Only use a green simple scissor,paper, glue,payets, and a fur wire .

Usually i play basketball, DDR (Dance dance Revolution), and catch a free puppet from Fending Machine. And here they are..Scorpion and Dinosour!!
its fun!, i scream out loud when i grab them.
